What is Team Bowling?

Team or League Bowling is an organised competition of bowling teams who compete on a regular basis for awards. Each team is made up of 2 to 5 people.

How many games are bowled in a League session?

Generally Leagues bowl up to 3 games per person per session.

How often does League Bowl?

The League bowls at the same time slot every week.

What time should I allow per League session?

A five person team will take between 2 to 21/2 hours to bowl their three games. Most of our league bowlers arrive 15 minutes before their appointed League starting time to gather their equipment and talk to their mates.

Do I have to be a good bowler to bowl in League?

Not at all, as Leagues are run on a system of handicapping which allows even beginner bowlers to bowl competitively against more advanced bowlers.

Can I participate in League on my own?

Certainly. We will place you in a team where you can enjoy the company and friendship of other League bowlers. You are also welcome to form your own team with your own group of friends.

Is League expensive?

Not at all. In fact it is cheaper to bowl in league than casually. League bowlers also receive other League Bowler Benefits via use of their League Membership Card.

Are there League awards?

Yes, awards are given for such things as high scores, perfect attendance and improved performance. At the end of the season a League celebration dinner is held where awards are presented.
